Encouraging School Attendance

As adults, we know that going back to work after a long holiday can be tough. We might feel that we don’t know how to transition back to the routine of getting up and out the door, or how to put in our best to ‘show-up’ mentally for work.

For our children and teenagers, going into a new school year can present a similar range of challenges! Some young people may also have worries left-over from last year’s experiences.

· Academic challenges

· Managing social situations and difficulties

· Conflict with students or staff

· Trouble leaving Mum or Dad

· Big emotions after school

· Other anxieties
